Abstract

Bacterial meningitis (BM) causes of morbidity and mortality globally and since the introduction of vaccines some of the common causes of BM such as Haemophilus influenza (HI) type b, Neisseria meningitis (MM), and Streptococcus pneumonia (SPN) have declined globally.

*Fiji is a middle-income country in the Pacific where BM contributes substantially to the morbidity and mortality of children in Fiji.
*Men C vaccination campaign for 1-19 yo in 2018.
*The WHO Invasive Bacterial Vaccine Preventable Disease (IB-VPD) surveillance was established in 2013.
